Zinnias!!

With summer almost over (really sad face) I couldn't forget to include an arrangement with some beautiful zinnias.  The color is so vibrant and cheerful you can't help but smile when you see them.  I immediately think of summer!  I paired them with some cosmos, lemon balm, lisianthus, and greenery.

I know, I know...again with the mason jar.  It just goes so perfectly with these summer flowers!

Since you couldn't see the detail on the bouquet I did a close up.  I think the twine gives it the perfect touch of casual, rustic charm.

Took the greenery out to make it a bit lighter.

More love for peonies...

I went back to my favorite vendor (www.petalsfarm.org) at the Oak Park Farmers Market this past weekend and got more gorgeous peonies.  How can I resist, really!?  I'm kind of obsessed with this last arrangement and may have taken too many photos, so please forgive me.  And, I got these really cool icy-blue frosted vases that were perfect with the flowers I got.

Some of the arrangements are just peonies then I started to add.  One is ranunculus and peonies and the other has ranunculus, peonies and some greenery. What do you think? Which one is your favorite?

Farmers Market flowers

This past weekend I went with the family to the Oak Park Farmers Market and found some amazing locally grown flowers from the wonderful people at Petals Farm in Huntley, Illinois (check them out: www.petalsfarm.org).  They had the most beautiful allium which I LOVE but never really get to work with.  I brought them home and had a little fun.  Here are some photos.  Enjoy!

Forgive the photo it really doesn't capture the vibrant color of the allium, but I love the purple flowers in the green vase.  They were meant for each other.
