Brown + Lee Wedding

When a bride comes to us and requests peonies we do a happy dance! Especially when it is peony season! So, when Kayla specifically said she wanted peonies in her bouquet we knew we were the perfect fit. It was a gorgeous day with an outdoor courtyard ceremony and gorgeous reception filled with gold geometric accents. The perfect balance of modern and timeless. How incredible is it to have twenty of your closest friends and family join you for an intimate ceremony and reception at the beautiful Waldorf Astoria Chicago for a dreamy winter wedding.  And to top it off the bride was totally laid back and ready to enjoy her day.  She wanted everything to be clean, simple, elegant, and timeless with white blooms and rich greenery.  We went with two beautiful white arrangements and a candle lined aisle for the ceremony and a lush cascading garland of greenery accented with a few white blooms for the long reception table.  Thank you so much Jennifer and Gabe for including us on your wedding day!

Caroline + Adam

Sometimes you get insanely lucky as a floral designer to meet a bride who puts complete trust in you and your designs.  And when that happens, magic happens.  I had so much fun creating a modern, elegant wedding for Caroline and Adam at The Dawson.  We were pleasantly surprised by the unseasonably warm November day which made this fall wedding truly perfect.

Greenery as a centerpiece

One of the hottest trends are long tables with greenery lining the middle of the table.  It is so absolutely beautiful!  You can keep it simple or go all out with tons of greenery or tons of overflowing flowers (see my next post for that!).  

Going with greenery as your centerpiece is beautiful in and of itself, but to really make a statement candles go a long way.  Whether you use pillar candles or votives its all about creating that glow.

I decided to do three variations on the idea.  One has only greenery, the other has a hint of flowers and the third is greenery with flowers.  Which do you like best?
