Chandeliers

Tajalli Missaghi

I'm currently OBSESSED with greenery right now, I just can't get enough of it.  So, to go along with my obsession I thought I'd do a blog post showing you my favorite chandeliers adorned with greenery.  Some have flowers and some are just greenery, either way I just love how effortless they are.  A few of the fresh floral chandeliers I've seen, although gorgeous, take it to a whole other level. Myself, I think simple and elegant is the way to go.  Not too much and not too little.

Garden wedding

Tajalli Missaghi

One of this years big trends is Garden-inspired weddings.  Whether you use gorgeous garden roses, tons of greenery, or wild looking arrangements you are sure to capture this look and feel.  I put together a centerpiece that would look great at any garden wedding filled with beautiful purple lisianthus, hyacinth, stock, wax flower and tons of lush greenery.  This long centerpiece looks amazing on this rustic, wood table.

Greenery as a centerpiece

Tajalli Missaghi

One of the hottest trends are long tables with greenery lining the middle of the table.  It is so absolutely beautiful!  You can keep it simple or go all out with tons of greenery or tons of overflowing flowers (see my next post for that!).

Going with greenery as your centerpiece is beautiful in and of itself, but to really make a statement candles go a long way.  Whether you use pillar candles or votives its all about creating that glow.

I decided to do three variations on the idea.  One has only greenery, the other has a hint of flowers and the third is greenery with flowers.  Which do you like best?

A different take on hydrangeas

Tajalli Missaghi

I've gotta say hydrangeas are so beautiful and simple and depending on what you do with them you can create a completely different vibe.  This time I got some gorgeous pale blue hydrangeas and decided to pair them with a wooden box to create a rustic, country feel.  I love it.

Then, I decided I should dress them up a bit for a more traditional vibe.  Here they are paired with genestra branches which really help create a dramatic centerpiece.  These are a great alternative to other branches and I love the small, delicate flowers on them.

Succulents

Tajalli Missaghi

Succulents are a great alternative to traditional flowers.  They have a different texture, look and feel but equally as beautiful.  You can integrate them into your bouquet, centerpieces, or line the aisle with them to create a dramatic look (see photo below).

Another great use of succulents is to create monogramed planter boxes with your initials like these!  I came across these on Etsy the other day and they are SO incredible!  Wouldn't these be so adorable on a card table or behind the bar?  I've got to add this to my list of things to do to make one...more to come on that :)

Alright, one more amazing example of using succulents for your wedding day.  How about lining the aisle with candles and small accents of succulents?  Check this out:

I lied I found another one I wanted to share.  (Just can't get enough!)  If you are looking for a less traditional wedding favor how about giving each guest a mini succulent with their table number assignment as well.  This not only is dual purpose but also adds color, interest and texture to the tables during the reception.

Rustic, Outdoor Fall Wedding

Tajalli Missaghi

This past weekend I was lucky enough to do the flowers for a rustic, outdoor fall wedding to a wonderful couple.  Although the weather wasn't ideal the flowers really captured the overall feel of the wedding.
