When your dream wedding in Hawaii gets cancelled because of COVID-19 you do the next best thing…get married overlooking Lake Minnetonka. Definitely not Hawaii, but it’s Minneapolis’ closest version.

Angie + Michael wanted to keep their intimate ceremony and reception simple, but beautiful. We went all out on the bouquets and kept everything else minimal. The real party was on the yacht cruise after the nuptials.

Right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic while most of our clients were postponing their weddings and we were feeling pretty bummed about missing out on an amazing wedding season we get a call from Ashley + Tyler and it completely made up for such a disappointing year. Their florist backed out at the last minute and they trusted us to quickly design and execute a wow of a wedding for them.

Although they couldn’t have a large wedding they didn’t want to sacrifice the dream wedding they had been planning. And it was exactly that, totally dreamy. From the fairytale aisle for their ceremony to the lush arch filled with greenery, pampas grass and blooms it was a show stopper. And let’s not forget about the dress change from the Bride and her gorgeous bouquet filled with the best garden roses from Grace Rose Farm.

The venue for the reception has high ceilings so we knew we needed to do some tall centerpieces mixed in with low moments to draw your eye up. And repurposing as much of the ceremony as possible was a must. We created a truly magical sweetheart table for the couple by reusing florals from the ceremony aisle and arch. We absolutely loved how it turned out!

And let’s not forget about the cake. Dripped in garden roses! I mean come on, it doesn’t get any better than that.

Gabbie & Ben

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused many couples to rethink how they can safely celebrate their love with friends and family and Gabbie and Ben were no different. Originally these two were supposed to be married in a large indoor wedding with 300 guests, but when the restrictions for indoor weddings began they shifted to a safer solution and luckily for them the Groom’s family owns a property with plenty of space for all their guests to comfortably space out and celebrate the couple.

Emily from This Love Weds at the last minute adjusted the plan to a large outdoor tent celebration. With a picturesque backdrop for their ceremony and a homemade arch from the Groom’s Uncle the couple said I do in front of 150 guests. Following their ceremony socially distant tables were set up for each family to dine in the gorgeous white tent. After dinner a separate cocktail tent was the perfect place for the guests to dance the night away.

With the change in venues we worked closely with Erin to elevate the tent reception to ensure the couple’s personality and vision was reflected. We did a combination of romantic taper candle centerpieces surrounded by loose greenery and blooms and low, lush arrangements filled with gorgeous garden roses.

The cocktail tent was the perfect place to add delicate greenery vines that glowed along the string lights during the dancing.

Liz + Stephen

The pandemic has changed so many people’s plans this year, but luckily with some creativity love isn’t being cancelled. This is so true for Liz and Stephen. These two were supposed to have a destination wedding in May, but with the lockdown in place they opted for an intimate wedding with close family and friends. They had just purchased a home and decided what better place to celebrate their love than in their new living room. It was such a beautiful, intimate ceremony in a place that will be sure to create more memories.

The couple spent two weeks painting and getting the house ready before they even moved in so that they could hold their wedding there. And it wouldn’t be a wedding day without flowers, so when Liz told me their backdrop was going to be their fireplace I knew we had to go all out to create a gorgeous focal point in the room. This was the perfect Covid-friendly wedding. So happy to have been a part of their special day. Congrats Liz and Stephen!

FAQs

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming and we know there are so many questions brides have about flowers and design for their big day. So, we thought it would be a good idea to take some time to answer some FAQs we get all the time.

DO YOU HAVE SAMPLE PRICING?

We understand you are searching for more information as you build your budget. Because there are so many factors in determining the overall cost of florals for your wedding day we feel it’s necessary to set up a consultation first to get a better idea of what you are looking for before we provide you with an estimate. This way you will get a customized estimate that fits your needs and vision. That said, we do have a $2,500 minimum for weddings and a $500 minimum for personals before taxes.

We do offer services for smaller events including bridal showers, corporate events, baby showers, birthdays, etc. These services are based on a la cart pricing.

DO WE RENT OUR VASES?

YES, we have a large assortment of rental items including vases, candles, candelabras, stands, archs, backdrops, fabric, etc. This is a great way for us to use the items we are passionate about (or obsessed with) that work well with our designs and aesthetic.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE SET UP AND TAKE DOWN?

Our team will work directly with the venue to coordinate set up and take down for every event so you don’t have to worry about the details (you have plenty to worry about that day!).

HOW MANY EVENTS DO YOU DO A DAY?

To ensure we can devote enough attention to detail for each event we only book one event per day.

WHEN SHOULD I REACH OUT TO TALK FLOWERS FOR MY EVENT?

Depending on what season your event is in we recommend reaching out as soon as you have your venue booked. We book 12-18 months in advance in peak wedding months. It doesn’t mean we don’t have availability, so feel free to reach out, but since we only accept a limited number of weddings and events a year we recommend booking sooner rather than later.

DO YOU ONLY DESIGN FOR WEDDINGS?

Although we do love weddings we also love a good party or event. Ask us about decor and florals for your upcoming birthday party, shower, bar/bat mitzvah or corporate event. We’d love to be a part of it!

WHAT IS YOUR PROCESS AFTER AN INQUIRY?

After we hear from you we will set up an initial consultation over the phone to get a better idea of what you are looking for, what things you love and maybe the things you don’t like so much. As a follow up to our discussion we will provide a proposal with a style board so you can visualize your event. If you’d like to book that day on our calendar (which we hope you do!) we would need a deposit and signed contract to hold that day. We can continue to make adjustments as we get closer to your event, but this way you are confirmed for that day.
