Maria + Drew

Tajalli Missaghi

When you have the Mother of the Bride on your side you know great things will happen! Maria’s mom was such a great partner for Maria and Drew’s wedding. She wanted to be sure everything was absolutely perfect for her daughter’s wedding day. Check out all the highlights from this amazing summer wedding at Bavaria Downs.

This was the most beautiful summer day. Soft romantic flowers, lush greenery, a beautiful couple, and their two adorable pups. But, the real showstopper was the 24ft hanging installation we did for the head table. It was everything! Lush greenery and soft summer blooms draped over the wedding party at one of our favorite venues in Chicago (Company 251). To balance the space we did loose greenery and heavy candle treatment for the head table and all florals on the reception tables. An asymmetrical growing arch was the perfect backdrop for the couple to say “I do” in front of close friends and family.

And if the wedding day wasn’t perfect enough, the groom planned a surprise birthday party for the bride the following day! How sweet is he! He reached out because he knew how important flowers were to the bride, we made sure the birthday party was filled with her favorite summer blooms too.

A splash of color goes a long way!

This coastal inspired wedding, planned by Pink Peony Events, was the perfect summer day. The bride was beaming in her gorgeous dress and the dusty blue bridesmaids dresses with white and coral bouquets were the perfect combination. The couple had an outdoor ceremony at Hotel Landing overlooking Lake Minnetonka followed by a reception in the ballroom. We used a mix of trees and florals to create a beautiful ceremony backdrop that could be repurposed in the reception for the head table. Lush centerpieces and taper candles were the finishing touch.

Shikha + Aman

Could this couple be any more handsome and photogenic? Every photos is more stunning than the next. And don’t get me started on Shikha’s showstopping dresses. I can’t pick a favorite…and I won’t! They are both exquisite.

We partnered with Phos Events to hang chandeliers and florals down the aisle for the ceremony and it was epic! Since this was a room flip we made sure the head table was right under the gorgeous chandeliers to create an amazing focal point in the room. It was magical!

Gabbie & Ben

Tajalli Missaghi

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused many couples to rethink how they can safely celebrate their love with friends and family and Gabbie and Ben were no different. Originally these two were supposed to be married in a large indoor wedding with 300 guests, but when the restrictions for indoor weddings began they shifted to a safer solution and luckily for them the Groom’s family owns a property with plenty of space for all their guests to comfortably space out and celebrate the couple.

Emily from This Love Weds at the last minute adjusted the plan to a large outdoor tent celebration. With a picturesque backdrop for their ceremony and a homemade arch from the Groom’s Uncle the couple said I do in front of 150 guests. Following their ceremony socially distant tables were set up for each family to dine in the gorgeous white tent. After dinner a separate cocktail tent was the perfect place for the guests to dance the night away.

With the change in venues we worked closely with Erin to elevate the tent reception to ensure the couple’s personality and vision was reflected. We did a combination of romantic taper candle centerpieces surrounded by loose greenery and blooms and low, lush arrangements filled with gorgeous garden roses.

The cocktail tent was the perfect place to add delicate greenery vines that glowed along the string lights during the dancing.

Don’t want to forget to mention that this awesome couple was committed to support small, women, and minority owned businesses which made a fantastic vendor team! Check out the list below.

Liz + Stephen

Tajalli Missaghi

The pandemic has changed so many people’s plans this year, but luckily with some creativity love isn’t being cancelled. This is so true for Liz and Stephen. These two were supposed to have a destination wedding in May, but with the lockdown in place they opted for an intimate wedding with close family and friends. They had just purchased a home and decided what better place to celebrate their love than in their new living room. It was such a beautiful, intimate ceremony in a place that will be sure to create more memories.

The couple spent two weeks painting and getting the house ready before they even moved in so that they could hold their wedding there. And it wouldn’t be a wedding day without flowers, so when Liz told me their backdrop was going to be their fireplace I knew we had to go all out to create a gorgeous focal point in the room. This was the perfect Covid-friendly wedding. So happy to have been a part of their special day. Congrats Liz and Stephen!

Georgie + Giusseppi

Tajalli Missaghi

I think I can just retire now. It happened…one of my weddings was featured in Martha Stewart Weddings!! Yep, you heard me correctly, THE Martha Stewart!! I’m still in a bit of shock if you couldn’t tell. And I’m incredibly grateful and humbled. Never did I imagine this would ever happen.

Georgie and Giusseppi are a wonderful couple and I’m so lucky to have been a part of their wedding day. Their taste is impeccable and it was such a joy seeing everything they dreamed of come to life.

Their wedding was at the unbelievably gorgeous Halim Time and Glass Museum. It was my first time at this venue and it just blew me away. Highly recommend it!

Kara + Leo

Tajalli Missaghi

Kara and I had a blast planning her gorgeous October wedding. After many revisions and a venue change we landed on the perfect vision for her big day. That staircase was everything and we knew we had to play it up to make it a focal point for the ceremony and reception. Seeing her reaction when she walked into the room was one of the best moments of my career. So many tears of joy. It reminded me of why I do what I do and how much I love being a part of my clients dream day. Thank you Kara and Leo for including The Petal in your wedding day!

Jackie + Candido

Tajalli Missaghi

When I met Jackie and Candido I knew we were going to work so well together. They are such an adorable couple, filled with love and enthusiasm for their wedding day (like all couples I know, but trust me when I say they are SO cute). Then when I found out they chose one of my favorite venues I was overjoyed. The Armour House is an incredible location for a wedding, from the dreamy garden landscape, to the marble details, the fountain and lets not forget that staircase…..swoon…That staircase is what dreams are made of. Jackie and I were on the same page when I told her we HAD To make that the focal of the room. And it was so worth it.

This sweet couple was looking for an elegant, romantic wedding filled with varying shades of lavender and plum.  I don't typically work with these colors, so I was really excited to get my hands on something a bit different.  So happy with how everything turned out!

Neutrals are always a favorite of mine - just take a look at my closet!  Classic centerpieces and bouquets with lush greenery and soft tones were perfect for this couple as well.  And when the bride requested a cascading bouquet I was all over it!  Bring on the cascade for 2018!
