March BLOOM BAR

Tajalli Missaghi

It’s a new month and you know what that means! New color palette for the BLOOM BAR!

This month we are embracing all things spring as we in Minnesota dream of warmer months. It’s a great sneak peek at what spring has to offer. So, let’s pretend together that it’s springtime and grab a bouquet today!

Stephanie + Matt

These two, just like so many other couples had to postpone their wedding because of Covid-19. And when the Bride’s father unexpectedly passed away months before their postponed wedding date the couple ensured he was still a part of their special day. We wrapped the bridal bouquet with a swatch from her father’s favorite tie and set up a special memorial for him. The bride walked down the aisle with her two brothers, which was an emotional and beautiful moment for the whole family.

The Bride wanted her wedding to be filled with spring blooms in ivories and mauve which were the perfect compliment to the Bridesmaid’s dresses. It was an absolutely gorgeous day for a wonderful, deserving couple.

A rainy day in April didn't stop these two from having a stunning wedding at the incredibly gorgeous South Shore Cultural Center.  And can I just take a second to gush over these photos by Hello Rose Photography, I mean seriously!!  They are absolutely dreamy.

Spring Styled Shoot

Tajalli Missaghi

My floral dreams came true for this spring styled shoot I did with a couple of amazing partners.  When Christy Tyler Photography approached me to be a part of her Lighting Workshop for Photographers I was thrilled.  I decided that I was going to totally go for it and create what I've been wanted to do for a while.  A romantic, whimsical inspirational shoot filled with soft florals and gorgeous candles.  This was my first time working with so many incredible people.  Everything was so perfect!

Big shout out to all the amazing people who worked on this styled shoot.  It couldn't have happened without all of your talents.

Spring fever

Tajalli Missaghi

My sister had a lovely engagement party with friends Sunday night and of course I couldn't show up without bringing flowers.  This arrangement had all the colors my sister has been dreaming of for her wedding day...let's just call it a preview.  I'm so incredibly happy for them, they are an amazing couple.  Let the wedding planning begin!

Side note - don't mind that one wilted scabiosa in the middle.  The arrangement was on the table next to several hot trays and that little guy just had enough.

I was so lucky to work with such a sweet couple for a wedding in spring of this year.  They were so happy and easy-going it made it so easy to work with them.  It was such a pleasure.

The bride requested rich, vibrant colors to compliment their traditional Chinese wedding.  The balance of the rich pinks, purples and blush tones complimented the venues red and gold accents.  And that archway!  Boy was it a pain to get it in and out of the courtyard of the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, but it was totally worth it!

All packed up and looking amazing.

Garland for days

Tajalli Missaghi

When this bride contacted me for her wedding I was so excited I couldn't contain myself!  I absolutely love long tables and filling them with gorgeous garland of greenery.  The bride was so much fun to work with and so detail oriented.  She spray painted all the centerpieces herself and provided an amazing old rustic ladder for her alter as well as a wooden welcome sign, bar cart and sign in table that were truly unique.   I even got to use my new white shutter screen which was perfect for place cards and for a backdrop for the head table.  It was truly a fantastic collaboration, we were totally on the same page for everything and I think that shows.

Check out the amazing photos George Street Photo captured of the wedding.  (some photos are my own, I'm sure you can tell which ones lol)

Adding garland to a gift table is a great way to dress it up.

The bride used old pages from a book for her place cards.  They fit perfectly into the slats of the screen.

April florals

Tajalli Missaghi

I'm so sorry I'm behind on my blog.  Here is an arrangement and bouquet I did in April in mauve, white, and burgundy.  I love the color combination, it's so rich and elegant.  And, I really can't get enough of astrantia.  It's seriously one of my favorite flowers right now.
