Spring Styled Shoot

Tajalli Missaghi

My floral dreams came true for this spring styled shoot I did with a couple of amazing partners.  When Christy Tyler Photography approached me to be a part of her Lighting Workshop for Photographers I was thrilled.  I decided that I was going to totally go for it and create what I've been wanted to do for a while.  A romantic, whimsical inspirational shoot filled with soft florals and gorgeous candles.  This was my first time working with so many incredible people.  Everything was so perfect!

Big shout out to all the amazing people who worked on this styled shoot.  It couldn't have happened without all of your talents.

Classic and elegant wedding

Tajalli Missaghi

I love the feeling of opening my email and seeing photos from a wedding I've done.  Elizabeth and Keith had a classic and elegant wedding filled with gorgeous peonies and hydrangeas at the Metropolitan Club of Willis Tower.  What a view!  The venue was gorgeous and this couple is so sweet.

So romantic

Tajalli Missaghi

This arrangement is so classic and romantic and would be perfect for a wedding, bridal shower or even a baby shower really.

The installation

Tajalli Missaghi

Putting together the installation for the Macy's Flower Show took a lot of time and planning, but it was totally worth it!  With the help of my amazing assistant, Julia, we finished the install in 3 hours.  Of course that was after a few hours of putting together the base flowers and the tree trunk, but who's counting.  Here are a few photos I took during the install so you can see how it was all constructed.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Tajalli Missaghi

This year I decided to do something a bit different for Thanksgiving.  Instead of the traditional orange tons I went for burgundy and berry tones.  It created such warmth at the table, I just loved it!

Is it spring yet?

Tajalli Missaghi

I don't know about you, but I'm so ready to say good-bye to the snow and hello to sunshine and beautiful weather.  The only thing keeping me going is knowing that spring flowers are filling the markets.  Spring is around the corner, right?

To cheer up everyone around here I thought I'd put together a bit of sunshine.  Hope you like it :)

A more contemporary look

Tajalli Missaghi

I was lucky enough to be able to contribute flower arrangements for a Holy Day celebration at the Baha'i House of Worship in Wilmette.  The sculpted palm fans were amazing, I just HAD to use them!  Let me know what you think!

Two giant scupted palm fans flanked the podium in the auditorium.  I used dendrobium orchids, liatris, trachelium, callicarpa branches, and aspidistra leaves in a simple, modern white vase.

Here is a close up

For the downstairs auditorium I did a tall arrangement in front of the podium with roses, dendrobium orchids, mini artichokes, china berry, curly willow and monstera leaves.

Here is a close up

This is the arrangement for the reception desk - mini artichokes, nerine lillies, trachelium, bear grass, berzelia, dendrobium and callicarpa orchids, and amaranthus.

Two of the same arrangements flanked the entrance to the auditorium with callicarpa orchids, liatris, protea, trachelium, berzelia, monstera leaf, curly willow, and Ti leaves.
